Review: An attempt to replace QuickBooks, this software is just too lightweight for us. The invoicing portion of it ranks fairly low. So far, FreshBooks leads with invoicing savvy. LessAccounting offers minimal variety in the invoices, and it’s a bit unclear how to add logos, etc. It also doesn’t take the info from anything except creating line items. I like FreshBooks project/task/customer approach better. If we were reviewing it for accounting software, rather than invoicing, it has some basically nice features. It has an easy interface to your bank transactions, piggy-backing on the fact that most banks download transactions in Quicken/Quickbooks format. It is easy to use if you are not an accountant, and are not looking to create professional reports. For example, a simple P & L in LessAccounting leaves a bit to be desired. But, you can’t beat the price: Free, if you have a small operation. If you need more features, the price goes from $12 to $24/month. If you grow, and are going to be in the business for a while, with employees, payroll, taxes, and investors, you’ll soon outgrow it.
