Description: An on-line approval system which works like "Evite" but for proposals rather than events. Zapproved lets you create and send a proposal to email addresses, which are stored as contacts. The recipients get to approve, deny, and/or comment on the proposal. You have a managed list of all your proposals, their status, who has responded and who hasn't.
Review: Our first look at Zapproved made us feel it was not much more than a glorified email system. It tracks all the emails you sent, and who has responded. The main benefit it is offering is that you have all emails which need approval located in a common area, so you are are able to see what is outstanding. On the other hand, you could do a lot of this using your own email system, creating separate in-boxes for proposals. What it offers that is unusual is the very user friendly email that the recipients receive, making it clear that they need to take action. Perhaps for this reason alone, it is worth using. The other caveat is that you probably need to be sending lots of proposals for approval before you could justify having a dedicated approval system. The free offer they make has a 30-day limit for key features such as attachments. The next pricing point is $12/month. It's probably worth trying for the free period to see if you really get your money's worth. Ease of use gets a 10 from us. However, is it necessary? Don't know. Since it is not a full collaboration tool, it's not clearly a winner.
