Description: NetDocuments offers the ability to manage your documents, storing them on-line, while giving you the ability to edit them or re-export them to your desktop. You can create folders and organize your account, as well as search the documents. With the synchronize feature, when you edit your document it is also uploaded to the on-line repository.
Review: Being a MAC user, any product which is Windows only automatically ranks low. I would give this a one, except that there are Windows Users out there. However, it is clear that products that restrict their audience are not really interested in true collaboration, which would not discriminate against who can and can't participate. That being said, there is not that much I love about NetDocuments. Yes, it does automatically upload your edited version, and will notify people that changes have been made, but so does BaseCamp, and it is not Windows centric. The pricing is also steep: 20/month/user or 30/month/user, both up to 50 users. There's no reason to pay that kind of price for something that is not any more advanced than its competitors.

I've used a number of products and though NetDocuments may not be as consumerish as some others, the feature set is much more powerful than any of its competitors. The most important thing is the ability to be integrated with office. Never have I had to upload or download documents. I can check them in and out like I used to on my old desktop software. I haven't seen this in any other web document management product.
