Description: DocuSign offers on-demand software services for electronic signature and electronic contract execution. You can send any printable document for signature, and signers are guided through a process on their browser. Signers can either follow "Sign Here" tabs or use free form signing options. Signatures are 100% compliant with the legal requirements. There are a variety of packages. The professional package is only $15.95/month, and the advanced professional is another $7. The small business and enterprise packages are available by quote.

Review: Well, the only negative so far is that to see a demo of the product, I had to give all my personal info, including phone numbers. Who are they hiding from and why? And yet, the product is darn good. It's hard not to like the simple, inexpensively priced Professional package. At $15.95, the fact that you can get electronic signatures via web without a hassle is a dream come true. The reality is that to get all the benefits you do need to upgrade to the Advanced package, which brings you to $22/month. Still, if you are constantly sending out contracts for signature, this is hard to beat. And you get 20% off if you pay in advance.

The real savings comes from the fact that you can upload your document, tell the person where they need to sign, and then send the document right to them. They send it back to you, and voila, you are done. Everyone has the ability to also save the PDF file locally. It's pretty easy to use, and totally legal. If you are interested in saving time, saving trees, and getting with the program, this is a no-brainer.

Despite the raves, we need to admit that we have some preference for EchoSign. Check it out and compare them both for yourself.

Service Stinks!!!

From: Karla Sibrian, 01/11/12

I've had Docusing for a year now paying them almost $20 per month for 40 envelopes. Not a bad price, right? Even after all the hassles with their system upgrades, which were no good, and difficulties with losing information because their system was not saving my work in progress, I still decided to give them another try. They offered me a "one time deal" to pay $129 now for the entire year (that's almost a 50% savings) I took it! Little did I know that they would switch my 40 envelopes per month to just 5! Are you kidding me?! Then, when I called Customer Service to resolve this they said I could not speak to anyone because they were ALL in a meeting. Seriously?! And that they would return my call in 24-48 hours. That is ridiculous! They seriously think I'm stupid. How does a company of this magnitude have ALL customer service reps in a meeting and not have anyone available to provide their customers with the adequate service. What a bunch of bull. Horrible service!!!!

Docusign vs competitors: customer service

From: Sandy, 07/05/11

The product may be good, but the service stinks! Have used it for years but when I upgraded to IE9 I could no longer access completed documents. Docusign's response? "Oh well, just use two browsers..we've been having trouble on our end." Sent an email to sales - no response. Finally found the answer in a Microsoft IE9 chat room. Still looking for a substitute to DocuSign...I hate doing business with a company that doesn't give a rip.

Docusign vs competitors

From: Mayur Patel, 06/22/11

I have tried a few esignature trials and I agree that it was annoying to have to give so much info to Docusign just to try their app. Docusign seems to work well for realtors and has a bunch of options that help you construct your document but the checkboxes for all the choices get a little confusing. Rightsignature and Echosign seem to be a little easier to figure out, but I also had to give echosign a lot of personal details to try it. You can probably get by with any of these apps but I ended up going with Rightsignature for the written signature feature.
